Meta-Figures: Traditional Oil Painting 2020 - Onwards

This series is made using 3D modelling software referencing rendered scenes scaled up and painted using a traditional oil-painting method. This is a body of work concieved in 2020, still in development. Works pictured are for sale where indicated, Giclee printed reclipcations are also available.
Abstract Minimalism 2023 - Onwards

This series is a quiet statement about simplicity, and the diversity of individuals. It comprises simple basic mediums of traditional art-making; canvas and charcoal. It is an affordable, portable and universal token to serve as a reminder that imperfections are character, and our path makes us who we are.
Meta-Figures: Drawing on Canvas and Paper 2024 - Onwards

This series is a progression from the Meta-Surreal Oil Painting series, stripped down taking lessons from the Abstract-Minimal Series. Made using references created using 3D modelling software, enhanced using AI and edited digitally before hand-rendering in traditional media.
Colour Field 2024 - Onwards

This new series uses the texture of the surface, often accentuated using impasto priming techniques, enlivened using an oil colour buff. Highly Affordable, they bring a pop of colour to your environment in traditional painting media. Accessible tokens of artistic creation, available as seen and bespoke size and shape commissions taken to suit any character and space.
Disasters of War 2022 - Onwards

This series started in 2022 in reaction to the Russian Armed invasion of Ukraine. It developed from a line of inquiry I started following as an Art student at the University of Brighton about War Art. It is an homage to Goya's Disasters of War Etchings and I will donate half of whatever profit comes from sale of these original oil sketches or reproductions to Medecins Sans Frontieres. More if possible.
Deco-Figurative: 2021 - 2024

This series is a limited series of large intuitive compositions inspired by science-fiction, fantasy and deco art. Compositions are built around intuitive choices, and characters punctuated using little more than their faces and hands. Artworks rooted in colour and pensive thought, these works are for sale where indicated and available as Giclee Prints, on Tote-bags and mugs and postcards.
Pin Jets 2022 - Onwards

This series of miniature Aircraft sculptures are made using the brass of a spent bullet shell. Each model is based on a real Jet-fighter design. I worked with service veterans in an Art & Craft Rehabilitation Programme, and I learned that some used to make models of the aircraft of their time this way. It's a form of "trench-art". Each modelette is roughly 3cm long mounted in a 10x10cm frame over linen.
Aviation 2013 - 2021

This series of oil paintings were mainly formed up between 2013 and 2015, with one exception in 2021. Ghostly aircraft are impressed on canvas and gesso-primed board in my personal take on aviation art. This series came about in appreciation of technology and innovation more than any acknowledgement of their end-use and may appeal to aircraft and expressionist art enthusiasts.
Archive 2010 - Onwards

Here's everything else, many of these artworks are here with us at home or are archived and available unless otherwise indicated. Please do get in touch if anything takes your interest and we can discuss an attractive price for ownership or reproduction in print.
Illustration and Collaboration

Simple collaborative illustrations, services are available, ask for a quote based on time, motion and complexity - the more I need to research or invent, the longer the task may take, but if you need something re-drawn in an expert hand it will be quicker and cost less. Simple rules for simple tasks.

I make Artworks that are, at their core, about mortality. Even before I reached the age of 10 I'd lie awake at night and interrogate the idea of death, and as I age my relationship with death develops with me. My understanding of death comes hand in hand with an understanding about life, and the further I go, the more important I percieve it to be to share ideas, kindness, and confidence where possible.

I don't linger on one artwork for too long, else it gets stale. I respond to ideas as soon as I can in order to keep up with the rate at which they occur. I share as soon as I can, and don't like to gatekeep insights and wisdom, and thats why I also teach.

If you're seeking to improve your own skills in observational drawing and painting I can help. Though, sometimes confidence is more of a stumbling block than skill, but I can help with that too. While I'm here, I want to unlock my own innate and personal mode of creativity. And that's what I want for you as well. If you're curious, get in touch today.
